A taste of Languedoc

Today my new menu is taking us to the Languedoc-Rousillon in the south of France. The Languedoc is famous for its climate and beautiful landscapes and is the biggest producer of wine. The main tourist attractions are Carcassonne, The Pont du Gard and the Canal du Midi.

The film I have chosen to accompany our menu and give you an additional flavour to the region is Le Bonheur est dans le Pré, a film by Etienne Chatiliez released in 1995, winner of a César Award for Best Film – and featuring Eric Cantona. It is a very enjoyable comedy filmed in the Gers department.
